Plotting Our Path Project

Third grade students in Mrs. Lawson's class and kindergarten students in Mrs. Chapman's class got a chance to learn about mapping, global positioning systems (GPS), and geographic information systems (GIS) in a project designed by their teachers as part of Web World Wonders. Mrs. Chapman's class mapped the playground, and Mrs. Lawson's class mapped the school, collecting latitude and longitude coordinates with a GPS for important locations around the school.
