Zebra Butterfly, Zebra Longwing
The Zebra Butterfly also known as the Zebra Longwing is commonly
spotted in South Florida. It is not very common in the northern
parts of the state. The Zebra butterfly is black and yellow
and is a loved native of Florida. It was designated as the state
butterfly in 1996. The Zebra butterfly’s scientific name is
Heliconius Charitonius. The most common and well-known
place for the zebra butterfly is in the hammocks and thickets
of the Everglades National Park.
