Southern Magnolia, Bullbay
The Southern Magnolia is a medium sized attractive evergreen
tree with beautiful smooth bark. It’s flower petals are large,
white to cream colored. The fruit is a bright red berry and
has dark shiny green, leathery leaves. The Southern Magnolia
is found throughout Northern Florida to Highlands and Desoto
counties along the western peninsula.
The Southern Magnolia is also found in Osceola and Brevard
counties in the eastern part of the state. It typically grows
in the upland forests, woodlands and hammocks.
