Scientific Name: Chrysopsis Subulata AKA Goldenaster
The Goldenaster is a perennial plant that grows to 3ft tall,
stems with loose-tangled hairs. The flower heads are yellow, drooping
surrounded with curved-tip bracts. It flowers from Feb to December;
mostly late June through August. The Goldenaster is endemic to
Florida nd one of our earliest Goldnasters to flower. The Goldenaster
typically grows in pine flat woods, scrubs in all parts of Florida
except the coastal areas.
