Hiking - There are four trails to hike at Big Lagoon State Park. The Girl Scout Cookie Trail is approximately 3.5 miles long. New Trail, Yaupon Trail, and the Grand Lagoon Trail are all 2 miles or less.

Picnicking - There are 5 picnic areas with shelters along the shores of Big Lagoon.

Swimming - Swimming and beach activities are enjoyed along the shores of Big Lagoon. There are warnings to stay clear of boat traffic. There is NO lifeguard service provided.

Nature Study - The beach and old trails offer ample opportunity for the study of nature.
